I am an award-winning journalist with more than 15 years of experience covering science and health. My stories have appeared in JAMA, CBS News, KFF Health News, NBC Health, The Denver Post, PBS News Hour, U.S. News and World Report, The Colorado Sun, Chicago Tribune, MindSite News, 5280, Everyday Health, and Colorado Trust and in magazines such as Colorado Parent, Elevation Outdoors, Spoke + Blossom, and Boulder Weekly.
I have a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, with a focus on science writing. I graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, and was awarded the Bristol Fellowship, studying rivers and kayaking whitewater in New Zealand, Costa Rica, and Chile.
I live in Colorado with my husband and two sons.
